1. Who we are
PK Photography is the data fiduciary responsible for personal data processed through PIK Connect. You can reach us at prabhakar@pkphotography.in.
2. Information we collect
Account details: name, email address, phone number and studio/business information you provide.
Payment identifiers: transaction and payment reference details processed via our payment gateway, Razorpay. We do not store your full card or bank account numbers.
Selfie & face-matching data: when a guest uploads a selfie to find their photos, we derive facial features used only to match faces within the relevant gallery.
Photographs & galleries: images uploaded by photographers and associated metadata.
Usage & device data: log data, device/browser information, cookies and similar technologies used to operate and improve the service.
3. How we use your data
to provide, operate and secure the service, including AI face search and gallery delivery;
to process subscriptions and payments and send transactional communications;
to provide customer support and respond to your requests;
to detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and technical issues;
to comply with legal obligations.
4. Selfie & facial data
A guest's selfie and the facial features derived from it are used solely to match that person's photos within a specific gallery. This data is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not shared with other users. It is retained only as long as needed to provide the matching experience and then deleted in line with our retention practices. Photographers are responsible for obtaining any consents required to enable face search on their galleries.
5. Sharing & third parties
We share personal data only as needed to run the service, including with:
Razorpay — to process payments securely;
Google — for sign-in and, where you choose, Google Drive-based galleries;
cloud hosting, storage, email and messaging providers that support the service;
authorities or advisors where required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and thereafter only as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. Selfie/face-matching data is short-lived as described above.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
access and request a copy of your personal data;
request correction of inaccurate data;
request deletion of your data or withdrawal of consent;
raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see Contact Us).
9. Cookies
Essential storage keeps you signed in and remembers your privacy choice. Analytics is on by default on public pages only: our own first-party analytics and Google Analytics, which sets cookies, record page paths, the referring website and basic technical information, without advertising trackers. Neither runs in galleries, guest photo pages, face search or your account. You can turn it off at any time using the Privacy choices button on this page.
10. Children
The service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for minors. Guests may appear in event photographs; photographers are responsible for obtaining any consents required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the service or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will change.
